Careers at Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou

We provide support for one of Aotearoa’s most vulnerable yet invisible populations – Children with parents in prison or serving a sentence.

Our team supports children and whānau through our core work of community-based (home-based) social work, as well mentoring support for our tamariki and rangatahi. We also have two pathway centres in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and Waihōpai (Invercargill).

Our offices are in Tāmaki Makaurau (specifically South Auckland and Hikurangi) and Ōtautahi (specifically Upper Riccarton, Christchurch). We also have services in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) and Waihōpai (Invercargill).

Mentoring Coordinator
 

This is a full-time position in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), responsible for recruiting, screening, training and ongoing support of volunteer mentors, matching with vulnerable children and young people who are affected by the imprisonment or incarceration of a parent or caregiver. 

Applications will close on Monday, 3rd March 2025, unless an appointment is made earlier.
